Aquest Treball de Final de Grau (TFG) ha reproduït el prototip del robot BB8 d’Star Wars. En aquesta reproducció s’hi han aplicat tots els coneixements que he adquirit durant el Grau, siguin d’electrònica o de mecatrònica. L’objectiu principal d’aquest projecte ha estat crear el robot a escala real per a captar l'interès dels més joves interessats en el món de la robòtica educativa. En aquesta creació s’ha estudiat el cost de producció real i s’ha intentat reduir per a futures rèpliques. A més, s’ha estudiat el muntatge de les peces per a facilitar possibles futurs canvis, ja siguin derivats de l’obsolescència d’aquestes o per a millorar-les i optimitzar les funcions del prototip. També s’hi ha aplicat diversos ajustos a nivell de programació i muntatge per aconseguir uns moviments més polits i més atractius visualment. A part, el comandament ha estat dissenyat i construït per a facilitar futures funcions del prototip. En tot aquest procés s’ha prioritzat la seguretat i la qualitat de l’aparell. A més, en el desenvolupament s’ha fusionat el disseny i la impressió 3D, la mecànica, l’electrònica i la programació perquè el robot realitzi correctament els seus moviments i desperti la curiositat de les nenes i nens en les disciplines esmentades anteriorment, garantint un augment d’estudiants i interessats en l’educació STEM. Com he esmentat abans, el disseny ha estat orientat en realitzar un robot d’unes dimensions aproximades a les reals de l’original de la pel·lícula Star Wars, així tots els mecanismes interns del robot són visibles i identificables.^^^^

This Final Degree Project has reproduced a prototype from Star War’s BB8 robot. In this task I have applied all the knowledge acquired during the Degree, whether its electronics or mechatronics. The main objective of this project was to create a real scale robot in order to catch the attention of the young people who is interested in educational robotics. While doing this project, the real costs of production were studied and tried to be reduced for future replicas. Furthermore, it has been studied the assembly of every piece to ease future replacements, whether caused from their own obsolescence or to improve and optimize the functions of the prototype. It has been also applied some programmatic and building settings so that movements are clearer and visually more attractive. Besides, the remote control has been designed and constructed to facilitate future functions of the prototype. Above all, the quality and security have been a priority in all this process. In addition, design, 3D impression, mechanics, electronics and programmatic have been mixed and used in this development to make the robot able to move correctly and with the aim to arouse children’s curiosity about the previously mentioned subjects, guaranteeing more interested students in STEM education.
As it’s been said, the aim of this design has been to make an approximated real scale robot from Star Wars movie, so all its intern mechanisms are visible and easy to identify.^^^^
