Estudi dels perfils neuropsicològics en TDAH associat a dislèxia i en dislèxia pura amb l’escala WISC

Abstract

La Dislèxia i el Trastorn per Dèficit d'Atenció i Hiperactivitat (TDAH) són dos grans temes d'interès en la nostra societat actual, ja que cada vegada hi ha un major nombre d'infants diagnosticats. Aquests són comòrbids, i és important la delimitació de les diferències entre els trastorns, perquè existeixen patrons o símptomes comuns. La finalitat de la diferenciació entre ells és poder identificar millor el trastorn i poder adoptar una intervenció més adequada així com efectiva. En el present treball s'han estudiat els conceptes Dislèxia i Trastorn per Dèficit d'Atenció, així com les diferències cognitives i neuropsicològiques d'ambdós termes. Tanmateix, s'ha fet una cerca de literatura sobre la relació entre aquests dos trastorns. El present estudi té com a objectiu principal observar si existeixen diferències significatives en els perfils neuropsicològics dins el test del WISC-IV entre una mostra d'infants diagnosticats de dislèxia i una d'infants diagnosticats amb TDAH. Per tal de poder dur a terme l'estudi, s'ha seguit una metodologia quantitativa i s'ha analitzat el perfil neuropsicològic de 42 infants, dels quals 21 eren diagnosticats de TDAH amb dislèxia associada i els altres 21 diagnosticats de dislèxia pura, amb una edat d'entre 6 i 16 anys, a partir de l'Escala d'Intel·ligència de Wechsler per Nens (WISC, Wechsler, 2005). Seguidament, s'ha realitzat una anàlisi descriptiva i comparatiu entre les variables estudiades. Pel que fa als resultats, s'ha obtingut que no hi ha diferència significativa entre el grup de TDAH amb dislèxia associada i el grup de dislèxia pura. Per concloure, el present estudi ha permès observar i estudiar les diferències de perfils entre la dislèxia i el TDAH d'una mostra d'infants, i així facilitar el diagnòstic diferencial entre trastorns. Dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are two prevalent and significant topics of interest in contemporary society, as the number of children diagnosed with these conditions continues to rise. While these disorders are comorbid, it is essential to discern the differences between them, as there are shared patterns or symptoms. The primary aim of differentiation is to accurately identify the disorder and adopt an appropriate and effective intervention. This study examines the concepts of Dyslexia and ADHD, as well as their cognitive and neuropsychological differences, and explores the relationship between the two conditions through a literature review. The study's principal objective is to determine whether significant differences exist in neuropsychological profiles, as assessed by the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV), between a sample of children diagnosed with Dyslexia and a sample of children diagnosed with ADHD. A quantitative methodology was followed, and the neuropsychological profiles of 42 children, aged between 6 and 16 years, were analysed. Of these, 21 were diagnosed with ADHD with associated dyslexia, while the remaining 21 were diagnosed with pure dyslexia. The results of a descriptive and comparative analysis of the variables studied indicated no significant difference between the group with ADHD and associated dyslexia and the group with pure dyslexia. In conclusion, this study provides insight into the differences between dyslexia and ADHD profiles in a sample of children, facilitating the differential diagnosis of these disorders.
