Els trastorns de l'espectre d'alcoholisme fetal: efectes en les dinàmiques familiars i socials en infants adootats de l'Europa de l'Est

Abstract

Els Trastorns de l’Espectre d’Alcoholisme Fetal (TEAF) són conseqüència del alt consum d’alcohol de la mare durant els mesos d’embaràs. Els efectes i conseqüències són greus depenent del consum d’etanol, i es veuen molt evidents en el comportament i en el desenvolupament dels infants. Actualment hi ha una manca d’informació sobre aquesta temàtica, però moltes de les famílies que adopten a països de l’est, sobretot a Rússia, es troben que els seus fills i filles presenten unes problemàtiques i unes patologies poc freqüents. A partir d’aquesta recerca, vull donar a conèixer el TEAF (Trastorns de l’Espectre d’Alcoholisme Fetal), les conseqüències i efectes en la vida social i familiar de les persones afectades. Pretenc donar a conèixer diferents realitats i experiències de famílies que s’han trobat amb aquests casos, i les problemàtiques i dificultats que han hagut d’enfrontar, des del moment en què detecten el problema fins que hi ha un diagnòstic clar, un posterior tractament i el treball de la problemàtica. En aquestes pàgines, es vol mostrar també, les mancances de la societat envers el TEAF i el SAF (Síndrome Alcohòlica Fetal), així com proposar millores en l’acompanyament dels afectats i les seves famílies per tal de millorar la seva qualitat de vida.

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) are a consequence of the mother's high alcohol consumption during the months of pregnancy. The effects and consequences are severe depending on ethanol consumption, and are very evident in children's behavior and development. At present there is a lack of information on this topic, but many adoptive families in eastern countries, especially in Russia, find that their children have rare problems and pathologies. From this research, I want to make known the FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders), the consequences and effects on the social and family life of the affected people. I intend to make known different realities and experiences of families who have encountered these cases, and the problems and difficulties they have had to face, from the moment that they detect the problem until there is a clear diagnosis and subsequent treatment and work of the problematic. In these pages, I also want to show the shortcomings of the society towards the FASD and the FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome), as well as to propose improvements in the accompaniment of people affected and their families in order to improve their quality of life.
