L'ofici d'educadora social en l'imaginari col·lectiu: una mirada polièdrica

Abstract

El treball que s’exposa a continuació sorgeix de l’experiència acadèmica i professional d’una estudiant del grau d’Educació Social i es basa en el llibre Sabers i Sentits de l’Educació Social d’Anna Gómez. El treball pretén visibilitzar, per una banda, el conflicte intern entre l’ètica i les directrius que tenim les professionals abans d’intervenir i, per l’altra, el contrast entre l’imaginari social i la crua realitat de l’ofici que constaten les estudiants quan s’incorporen al món laboral. Finalment, també es vol mostrar la contradicció entre teoria i praxi a través de les veus d’algunes professores del grau d’Educació Social de l’UVic. La informació s’ha obtingut a través del buidatge d’un qüestionari que es va passar a totes les alumnes del grau, així com a través d’entrevistes a algunes estudiants i professionals del mateix grau. Aquests materials, a part de ser una eina per recollir dades, també han servit per visibilitzar les diverses llums i ombres que envolten el nostre ofici. Aquesta recerca, doncs, vol ser també un mitjà de sensibilització i de lluita que ens permeti posicionar-nos perquè l’ordre dominant instaurat deixi de ser la fita on pertànyer i així fer possible la construcció d’una estructura social més humana.

The present project emerges from both academical and professional experience of a Social Education student and its starting point was the lecture of Sabers i Sentits de l’Educació Social, by Anna Gómez. Our aim is to raise awareness towards two aspects of our profession: on one hand, the internal conflict between ethics and guidelines that many social educators experience when it comes to making an intervention and, on the other hand, the gap between the social conception of our profession and the job reality that most students have to face once they enter the labour market. Finally, this project shows the contradictions between theory and practice through the voices of some lecturers at the Social Education degree at the UVic. The information has been gathered firstly through the results of a survey, which was conducted among all students at the degree, and also by interviewing some members of our educational community. We hope that these materials can help to draw attention to the lights and shades surrounding our job, as this research aims to be an empowering tool to take a stand against the ruling order and achieve a more human social structure.
