La intervenció primerenca de teràpia ocupacional en l'ictus per a la recuperació de les AVD i la funcionalitat

Abstract

L’objectiu principal del present estudi és evidenciar si la intervenció primerenca de teràpia ocupacional en ictus millora la funcionalitat de la persona i l’execució de les activitats de la vida diària respecte a la intervenció convencional. Aquest estudi es realitzarà a l’Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron i la mostra estarà basada en participants residents a Barcelona. Per a dur a terme l’estudi es necessitarà una mostra d’unes 40 persones aproximadament. La duració de la intervenció serà de quatre mesos i es realitzarà a l’hospital i/o al domicili de la persona. El disseny d’aquest estudi serà un assaig clínic aleatoritzat. Es pretén realitzar l’estudi amb persones adultes d’entre 40 i 75 anys que hagin tingut un ictus i estiguin en fase aguda. Per a l’obtenció de dades s’utilitzaran dues escales, el Functional Independence Measure i el Rivermead Motor Assessment. Al dur a terme aquest estudi poden sorgir diverses limitacions, com ara, l’abandonament del tractament per part de la persona atesa, la falta de motivació, la interferència d’alguna altra malaltia o problema de salut en la intervenció i la possible dificultat en completar la mostra necessària.

The main goal of this research is to establish if the early intervention of ocupational therapy after cerebral stroke improves the person's functionality and everyday activities performance versus the standard intervention. This study will be done at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. The sample will be based on participants who live in Barcelona. In order to do the carry out the study, a sample of approximately 40 people will be required. The length of the intervention will be four months and it will take place at the hospital and/or the patient's home.The design of the study will be a randomized clinical trial and it is intended to be carried out with adults from 40 to 75 years of age who have suffered a cerebral stroke and are in an acute phase. For data collection two scales will be used: the Functional Independence Measure and the Rivermead Motor Assessment. In carrying out this study several limitations may arise: that the patient drops the treatment for lack of motivation, interference from another desease or health issue the patient may have, or finding it difficult to reach the necessary sample.
