Com viuen les persones grans el procés d'adaptació a la residència

Abstract

El treball que es presenta a continuació pretén descobrir “com és el procés d’adaptació de les persones grans a la residència”, aquesta investigació ha estat realitzada amb la intensió d’esbrinar com viuen el procés d’entrada a la residència les persones grans. La recerca ha estat portada a terme a la Residència – Centre de dia Sant Bernabé de Berga amb persones residents amb diferents dates d’entrada al centre i per diferents condicions personals. La primera part de la recerca està enfocada a la part teòrica on es tracten els punts principals del procés i les paraules clau de la investigació; d’aquest marc teòric s’extreuen les idees per realitzar la part pràctica de la recerca on hi ha una anàlisi de les entrevistes als residents i als professionals del centre i una posterior triangulació amb la teoria treballada a la primera part. Aquesta estructura està constituïda per respondre la pregunta de la investigació, ja que sense els testimonis que han viscut el procés i la feina dels professionals no hagués estat possible.

The project presented aims to discover "how is the process of adaptation of the elderly to the nursing home," this research has been done with the intention to find out how they live the process of entering to the nursing home. The research was conducted at the Nursing Home - St. Barnabe’s Day Center, located in Berga, with residents with different dates of entrance in the centre and different personal circumstances. The first part of the research is focused on the theoretical part which deals with the main points of the process and the keywords of the research; this theoretical framework draws ideas to make the practice of research where there is an analysis of the interviews to the residents and professionals of the center, allowing to do a triangulation with the theory worked in the theoretical framework. The aim of this structure is to answer the investigation question, because without the witnesses who have experienced the process and the work of professionals it would not have been possible.
